Has Georgie sold us out?
Normally a president is surrounded by many smart people. These folks-in large part-are expected to be even smarter than him.
But by all initial appearances that doesn’t seem to be the case with our current administration. So let me try to break it down for you guys here because you aparently don’t get it.
Nobody in their right minds is saying that all Muslims support violence and terror, but it’s like this: There are over a billion Muslims on the planet. One out of every ten or ten percent, are extreme fundamentalists. That means-if you follow the math-that approximately little over 100 million of these folks are fundamentalists. That, Mr. Bush, is the army of Osama Bin Laden and his followers. That is why they have so much faith in their cause, not because of their belief in Almighty God.
No sheik can completely guarantee that any one in his ranks is not one of these people and that they are not believers in a Holy Jihadi.
It is sad that we have to come to this conclusion but that’s the way it is, and no deal with any Sheik or Royal, no matter how respected, feared or powerful he may be among his people, is going to change that fact. It is as plain as a nose on any face.
Please do not allow this company from UAE to control our ports or it will-I fear-be the beginning of the end for our country. Only someone paid-or promised-an obscene amount of money would turn a blind eye and ear to this. It is up to our legislators to check the power grab going on in our country by the executive branch of the government and ensure that balance reigns across the land of freedom and opportunity.
Where is Osama Bin Laden? Is he the Fidel Castro of the Middle East, in his untouchability. Who is benefitting from this War? Will our children’s children still be fighting this long after our generation is but a memory? From this angle, it certainly looks that way. How many Hispanic-and other-American men and women will be maimed or killed in this war before it’s over?
I understand the need for war to a degree but not a sustained conflict that will undoubtdly last three to four lifetimes or more. It takes me back to my days in grade school when I was beaten by bullies. The next day i would come back and start the fight all over again by walking up to the biggest, scariest and ugliest bully at the school and punch his lights out without saying a word. This let all the other bullies know that it could happen to them too, so they were less prone to beat me again. Using the 9/11 attack as an excuse-that’s effectively what George Bush has done by committing our countries troops to what may be an endless conflict vis a vis the Palestinian-Israeli scenario. That-it seems-will never end. And now, neither will the so called War on Terror.
Bottom-line: “No!” to the Port operations takeover by a company owned by an Arab emirate. I believe this should not happen-even if we have to impeach our President to ensure it. As it is, our ports provide a very attractive and weak target to those who would seek to do our country in.
Please Mr. President, reconsider!
